Ahh thankyou. I didn't lay it out too well, but those two are actually part of a series. They're kind of linked with the second image of the seagull pecking at the fish... I went off on a long long tangent of Fish vs. Seagull illustrations after watching a bird trying to pick a fish out of the sea
These are some of the things that interest and inspire me:
Old things, delicate things, weird things, bald things, cute-in-an-ugly-kinda-way things, oddities and curiosities, Japanese fashion magazines, Vogue, all things glamour, molerats, list making, My Papa, light- natural light, 5 o clock light, well lit rooms, circus freaks and fonts, opulance, decadence, old books, galleries, food, Modest Mouse, Sea creatures, children's books, art books, book shops, travel, religious art, ink and dip pens, watercolour, Ganesh, gin, bagels, London, markets, tattoos, textiles, storms, autumn, chinese art, cynical realism, Sunshine, museli, Waitrose food illustrations, letters through the post, coastlines, coastal towns, the sea, gin
My friend and I were just talking about using old books as sketch pads, and how cool they looked, and you go and prove our point.
ReplyDeleteReally like the fish & the seagull poking their little faces on to the pages !
